It seems to be the first or second study that I made in the open air in the age of 15 or 16. More exactly I did not paint it but made it with a palette knife. I saw a "grown-up" bearded painter working - and decided to try. I managed without a brush, maybe that is why the study came out so vivid and light, without the heel of academism caused by education. I say it ironically today remembering my latest works. No - hope not the latest...
